佛教旗

佛教旗是佛教和佛教信徒的標誌，在佛教節日和其他傳統節日如春節、元宵節盂蘭節等期間和寺廟舉辦法會期間，都要懸掛佛教旗。

佛教旗由藍、黃、紅、白、橙和彩色六道顏色組成，前五色是單色，第六色由五色混合而來。

佛教旗的顏色源出於南傳佛教所稱釋迦牟尼佛得道時放六色佛光，為藍、黃、紅、白、橙和前五色光的混合色光；另一種說法指此五種顏色為佛陀渡化天、人、畜生、餓鬼、地獄等五道時所放射的光芒。


佛教旗中的六道顏色各自代表含義：

藍色:代表慈悲，和平

黃色:代表中道了義，離於空有，究竟徹底

紅色:代表成就福慧，莊嚴吉祥

白色:代表清淨解脫，法爾如是

橙色:代表佛法的本質，是從智慧莊嚴而成

混和色:代表真如不二之義
