金剛杵金剛杵是去除障難最普遍的本尊之一。舉例來說，蓮師是修大忿怒金剛成就的，但剛開始他先修金剛橛淨除障礙，經過淨障，再修其他法門，最終證得各種成就。因此，金剛杵以淨除障礙聞名，也是諸佛的事業化身。唵嘛呢叭咪吽又名六字真言或六字大明咒，是佛教裡最常見的真言(mantra)，是觀世音菩薩願力與加持的結晶，故又稱為觀世音（四臂白觀音）的心咒，經上說：「此六字大明陀羅尼(六字真言)，是觀自在菩薩摩訶薩微妙本心，若有知是微妙本心，即知解脫」。六字真言除了刻在石上，亦多刻在轉經筒上。
