18th Century Antique Beijing-made (Beijing) Gilt Bronze Venerable Atisha

Venerable Atisha, the founder of the Kadam Sect, formerly known as Yuezang, with the name of burning lamp auspicious wisdom, honored as Venerable Atisha, he re-established the Tibetan Buddhist Sangha and created the Kadam Sect, reaffirmed the precepts, and re-explained  He understood the fundamental teachings of Buddhism and was the eminent Indian monk who made the greatest contribution to Buddhism in the late Tibetan period. The very famous "Gadang Pagoda" was designed by him himself.


 This statue has a compassionate and gentle expression. It is dressed in a Tibetan monk's robe and a Panzhida hat. It sits on a double cushion with its feet crossed. The copper is so fine that it shines. It can be seen that this statue is made of high-quality fine copper.  Casting, Venerable Atisha has painted his image on many thangkas, but Buddha statues are extremely rare, really rare, and have collection value and value-added potential.
